Quote For The Week.

“God’s aim looks like it is missing the mark because we are too short-sighted to see what He is aiming at.” — Oswald Chambers

When my Dad turned 80, he told me, “Son, I love being 80!” That’s something you don’t hear a lot so I asked him why.

“When I was younger,” he said, “there were times I wasn’t sure what the Lord was up to in my life. I couldn’t see what He was doing. But now, at 80, I can see what He was doing, and where He was taking me. You often can’t see that in your younger years.”

The bottom line from my Dad was this: “I was confused at times but I just kept on trusting.”

If you find yourself in a confusing place, questioning, maybe even doubting God, here’s a prayer I’ve prayed that has helped me in those times.

“Lord, Your ways are higher,

Your thoughts are greater,

Your plans are better.

One day I will see this clearly,

In the meantime, I’ll trust You daily.”

Have a great week,
Jeff Henderson
